We are only at the tip of what is possible for the biodiesel industry in New York. It is estimated that approximately 50 million gallons of biodiesel can be produced annually from waste oil in New York City alone. With no plants currently operating within the five boroughs, much of this feedstock is going to no other use or simply going down the drain.
